Terms & Conditions

  1. A 25% non-refundable retainer fee is required to reserve your date and secure your booking. The balance is due 4 weeks before your event date. If your event date falls within 4 weeks of the date of ordering the balance is due in full when placing your order. 

  2. Payment can be made by bank transfer (HSBC sort code 40-35-18 account number 64473078) or cheque (payable to The Wonderful Cake Company).

  3. Failure to comply with the payment terms, including late payment of your balance, may result in your order being cancelled and your date being made available to someone else. In this event, your order will not proceed until payment has been made in full, whereupon subsequent completion of your order on the required date cannot be guaranteed, and becomes subject to availability. 

  4. For weddings and events access to your venue is required at least 3 hours before the celebration begins if set-up is required.

  5. Changes to the design of your order may be permissible provided they are notified at least 6 weeks before your event date but may incur an additional charge.

  6. Changes to the date of your celebration will be accommodated where possible, but may incur additional charges.

  7. For personalised favours or name tags your guests’ names must be provided in typed format no later than two weeks before your wedding.

  8. Deposits paid for cake stands will be refunded within 7 days of your event, provided the stand is in the same condition as it was provided in to NG13 0EP within 72 hours of your event, unless otherwise arranged.

  9. Photographs taken of your order remain the intellectual property of The Wonderful Cake Company and may be used in promotional material (website/social media/printed media). Photographs of your order will never be published on any media before the date of your event.

  10. We cannot guarantee that any of our products are allergen free.

  11. Quotations are valid for 30 days.

  12. Cancellations and refunds are at the management's discretion, and will depend on how close the cancellation is to the date of the event. The amount of  work, time and expense that has already gone into the preparation of the order will also be taken into consideration.
